Dallas Grand Opening an Incredible Success

As we leave a Vision Retreat, International Leadership Conference, or any one of a number of our other very exciting events and meetings, I am frequently asked, “How can the company ever top this?” I even find myself asking this same question. Just two weeks ago in Atlanta, we saw what could have been one of the most exciting things to ever take place at TNI, and I thought to myself, How could we top this? Could we possibly do it all over again? Well…just check this out.

November 1-2, 2005 will go down in history as the beginning of something truly extraordinary for our almost 10-year-old company. Consider this—the Southwest region is the already the fastest growing region in the U.S., and Texas is the number one revenue state. With the opening of the brand new Dallas Tahitian Noni Café™ and Sales Office (soon to be known as the Tahitian Noni Experience Center), TNI has thrown fuel on an already raging fire. It was truly unbelievable! Once again, the Tahitian Noni family of employees, executives and our beloved distributors came together to create an experience the likes of which is before now just unknown.

Tuesday afternoon kicked off with an exclusive sneak preview of the new facility for distributor leaders and special invited guests. I stood at the front door as the very first people came walking through and I could only think of one thing—the looks on my kids’ faces as they come downstairs on Christmas morning. I heard cheers and gasps, “unbelievable’s” and “fantastic’s”. There were hugs and high fives and even tears. People were just plain overcome with the beauty and power of their new facility. Craig Colyar and his Southwest region management team just could not get people to leave once they came in. They simply had come “home.”

The facility is stunning! Start with a beautiful café on the corner of the hottest development spot in Dallas, kitty-corner from the new West Village “live, shop, work” development. Glass doors connecting the café and new Tahitian Noni store constantly beckon café patrons as they sit and eat and drink. They can see all of the wonderful TAHITIAN NONI® products on the hand-carved displays. With meeting and office facilities, the new center can seat over 200, or be broken up into four separate, simultaneous meetings, including the conference room. The colors, furniture and décor of the entire facility just bathe you in everything French Polynesia.

That evening, on the 42nd floor of a beautiful high-rise building overlooking the beautiful Dallas skyline, the Southwest Region Platinum Founders Club members were honored with their bright, shiny new Breitling watches. The keynote s peaker, Kelly Olsen, assured the elated Southwest leaders that they are only page one of TNI’s next chapter, Chapter Two—the most exciting and action-packed days of this company are all yet to come.

Thursday was definitely a day to remember. Just ask all the major T.V. networks in the Dallas area—they were all there and have since run long news stories, both live and taped—about the opening of the Tahitian Noni Café™ and Experience Center. Suddenly, millions in the entire Dallas/Ft. Worth area are totally clued in to what has just opened in their midst, and they were all encouraged to come and see. The TAHITIAN NONI® brand is truly on its way to the Forbes Top 100 Brands list. In addition to television, there was a live radio broadcast from the café, newspaper and magazine reporters in and out all day long.

Oh, and did I mention the distributors…how ‘bout over 800 crowding the sidewalks and street to witness the “vine” cutting ceremony, drums and Tahitian dancers, and remarks from TNI corporate leaders, including Kelly Olsen, Shon Whitney, myself, Mike Olsen, and Craig Colyar. The excitement and cheering all reached a peak when the machetes fell, cutting the vine. 500 balloons, held in the eager hands of hundreds of distributors, lifted into the air. You will see photos of the ceremony, but it just can’t do justice to the absolute exhilaration of the moment!

Throughout the day, distributors just kept coming, and by the end of the grand opening day, over 1500 distributors and guests had tasted TAHITIAN NONI® Noni Leaf Tea Lemonade, toured the café and Experience Center, shopped, and left with a whole new vision about the future and potential of their association with Tahitian Noni International. The day was capped with a rockin’ opportunity meeting at a nearby hotel with over 650 distributors and guests in attendance. Craig asked for a show of hands of all the first time TNI meeting attendees, and many, many hands went up. Talk about an incredible first experience for these folks!

Is it possible that we could ever get used to this kind of thing? We are going to open many, many more facilities just like Dallas and Atlanta, but there is no way one could ever think this mundane. The answer must be…NO WAY! This will continue to be one of those “like the first time” type experiences that never gets old. Congratulations to Craig Colyar and his team (the100-hour-per-week club), the whole Tahitian Noni Café crew, and of course to our awesome, incredible, enthusiastic distributors that continue to work so hard to make this company go!

I am completely overcome. Our story, as powerful and amazing as it now is, is only just beginning.
